Three weeks back, I was applauding the Govt. plans of providing free Internet services in India [Free Internet In India]. But unfortunately this plan might remain only a distant dream as the pied piper of Union Telecom Ministry Mr. Dayanidhi Maran has recently decided to resign. This ministry was the best performing ministry under the present Government with quite an achievement in changing the telecom map of India. But unfortunately, perhaps owing to some personal problems or ego clashes with Mr. Karunanidhi or something like this compelled the minister to resign from his post. Being at the helm of affairs and taking the huge responsibiity of developing the telecom infrastructure of the nation and putting the country on the world map in a very short period is enough to prove his efficiencies & capabilities to achieve and give the much required boost in this sphere. But leaving this task incomplete just because of some minor personal problems can not be held in good spirit. Mr. Maran is escaping from the responsibilities assigned to him and this is definately not in the interest of our nation and our society.
