On April 21, the Century ASL Club held their first Deaf Awareness Day in The Nest. Students were able to play games and enjoy an ice cream bar despite the chilly weather outside.

The Century ASL Club is for students who want to know more about American Sign Language and Deaf culture. Their motto is “You’d don’t have to know how to sign, just have an interest.”

There was a deaf culture quiz to test your knowledge about deaf and hard of hearing people. After students played Spin the Wheel to get a prize, they were given a raffle ticket for a $25 visa gift card. At the end of the event, the raffle winner was announced, which was Clarence Insixiengmay, 19, a Business major, he said that winning made his day so much better.
